Dave Wright is the owner of Sounds Wright Audio Marketing. Dave has an impressive portfolio in commercial broadcasting, television, but mostly radio.
Dave has been a commercial broadcaster since leaving school. He graduated from the Australian Film Television and Radio School at the age of 18, being at the time the youngest graduate in radio. He worked at 10.71AM Kingaroy, then Eagle FM - Goulburn, 2NM / POWER FM Hunter Valley, NEW FM, 2SM in 2000, Dave was poached by leading Sydney station MIX 106.5, were he remained till 2007, during his time at MIX 106.5, Dave took the drive shift to the #1 spot in Sydney. Something that hasn't been repeated since his departure, and at the time was a first for the station. During his stint at MIX 106.5, Dave was syndicated to Melbourne via sister station MIX 101.1. Dave was the first announcer in Australia to actually be on air, live at the same time in two different markets, broadcasting two separate programs.
Dave was also nominated for various Australian broadcasting accolades.
Dave hung up his headphones in June 2007, from MIX and the Australian Radio Network, after almost 8 very successful years to focus on Sounds Wright. These days, Dave is still heard on radio and quite often seen on TV on the Ten Network and also Sunrise on 7, as both fill in reporter and guest. Dave is also an advocate and motivational speaker for weight loss surgery ( after losing 80kgs) as well as being a sought after Master of Ceremonies. Dave is also a proud member of several Chambers of Commerce in Sydney as well as business networking groups.
